Try increasing your intake of calcium. Unless you can stand a big glass of milk with each meal, take calcium pills. But you need to take them all the time, not just when your period is due. The first cycle after I started taking calcium, I thought something was wrong, because I'd never had a painless period! It won't hurt you and might even help your bones and teeth, too. Take the pills with a meal that has a little fat, a calcium is fat soluble and will just pass through you without doing any good if you take it without food.
Good luck - I hope this works as well for you as it did for me.

for me... nothing works quite like a HOT bath and lower back massage. Heat seems to really help and just know that you are not alone. Millions of women including me are in complete PAIN once a month. Don't you think we should get special sick days for this? yeah.. that would be too good to be true huh! well take care, try a hot bubble bath with a good book. Drink lots of water and wait for the pain to pass......

Hot tea and a heating pad or hot water bottle. You know how they say exercise and we are like who wants to exercise when you have cramps? Well they mean to have a regular exercise program weekly and strengthen those stomach muscles. It does help. I like a hot bath cause I usually have more back pain than stomach cramps. A good back rub helps too.
