Nope, Israel has the right to defend itself from the Palestinian aggressors who are sponsored by Arab extremists who want all JEWS dead. Jews do not want ALL Arabs dead. Jews do not want ALL Muslims dead. Nowhere do you see a Jew, A Rabbi or otherwise standing in front of a congregation or crowd, screaming through megaphones calling for the death of all ARABS, the way the MUSLIM CLERICS DO calling for murder of all JEWS.. This is a right to defend the JEWS as A Nation of people who only have a Tiny piece of land. The PPalestinians are all MUSLIMS why do they not accept that they will have to live peacefully next to the Jews if they want to co-exist, Because they do not want to coexist. Most Israelis recognize the alestinian right. But when they encourage the homicide bombers from the age of 2, then they become unacceptable neighbors. Jews do not teach hate to their children, they teach love kindness and self defense. Muslim extremists , Palestinians teach hate and murder to very young children. You CANNOT teach love and hate at the same time.

GOLDA MEIR was asked, when do you think there will be peace in the middle east. She said when the Arabs start to love their children as much as they hate the Jews.

SHALOM. SALEM

General Assembly resolution 181, of Nov. 29, 1947: It calls for the partition of Palestine into Jewish and Arab states, with Jerusalem to be controlled by a "special international regime" to protect its holy places. The Zionist movement seeking to establish a Jewish state accepted the partition, the Arabs rejected it.

The resolution was not carried out: After Israel declared its independence on May 14, 1948, war broke out pitting the embryonic state against surrounding 7 Arab states. Israel gained more land than it would have had under the partition resolution. Neither Israel nor Jordan, which controlled the divided parts of Jerusalem after the war, accepted control of the holy city by an international body.

Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire from 1516 until the British occupied it on September 26, 1918. When Palestine was divided in 1948, the West Bank became part of Jordan, and the Gaza Strip became part of Egypt. The West Bank and Gaza Strip were seized by Israel in June 1967 during the Six-Day War. Jordan renounced its claim to the West Bank on July 31, 1988, and the Palestinian Authority was set up on February 12, 1996 to govern parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Ottoman Empire Piastres (XOTP) circulated in Palestine while it was part of the Ottoman Empire. Egyptian Pounds (EGP) circulated in Palesine from 1918 until November 1, 1927 when the Palestine Pound (PSP) was created. The Jordanian Dinar (JOD) replaced the Palestinian Pound on July 1, 1950 at par with the Palestine Pound on the West Bank. Egyptian Pounds were used in the Gaza Strip.

After Israel seized the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the Israeli monetary system was introduced. The Israeli Pound (ILP) became the medium of exchange in the occupied territories. The Israeli Pound was replaced by the Sheqel (ILL) on February 22, 1980 with 1 Pound equal to 10 Sheqels. Inflation during the 1980s led to the introduction of a New Sheqel (NIS) at the rate of 1 New Sheqel equal to 1000 Old Sheqels. The Sheqel is divided into 100 Agorot . Banknotes are issued by the Bank of Israel.

Transactions in Palestinian territories are usually carried out in Israeli Sheqels, though accounts are also kept in Jordanian Dinars.

The only way that peace can be brought about between Israel and the Arabs would be a decisive military victory to bring the Arabs to sue for peace.

Does Israel have the right to defend itself?

I wonder what the US or Australia, or Brazil, or Pakistan, or Saudi Arabia would do if they were forced by International pressure to divide their land into separate countries because a portion of their population did not want to be ruled by the government?

I wonder what they would do if then instead of creating peacefull communities with services and schools those countries became ghettos that attracted thousands of terrorists from surrounding countries. terrorists who openly told the International community that their foremost goal is to "Destroy the country that created it, and Kill every single inhabitant of that land down to the last infant."

I wonder what those other counties would do if EVERY SINGLE DA*** DAY Katyusha rockets fell on them, launched from within the very land they were pressured to create?

How many countries would wring their hands and bargain with these TERRORISTS!!!?

Does Israel have the right to defend itself? Is this a rhetorical question?

The Palestinians are just a made up entity that even the Arabs did not recognize until very recently. Arab leaders said flat out that there is "No such thing as a Palestinian and if there were then they were Jews"

Like the "Palestinian Brigade" a troop of Jews fighting for the allies in WWII (trivia fact: on what side of that conflict did 90% of Muslim Arabs fight for?)

Like the "Palestinian Symphony Orchestra" Jews with oboes. (as opposed to Muslims with Katyushas)

Their is no Palestine it is a Roman made up name, expressly designed to punish the Jews for their disobedience to Rome.

When Israel became an "official" Jewish country it extended citizenship to all and a voice to all citizens. (and it still does) An offer that was rejected by some of the Arab population whose "peaceful" religion of Islam called it an abomination to live in a land controlled (even democratically) by Jews.

So adherents to this "peaceful" religion started a war. One that continues to this day. And one that faithful Muslims vow to continue until "every Jew is dead".

So I vote no. Arab Muslims in a fake made up country, having willingly given up their rights to peacefully coexist in Israel, living under a fake made up name do not have any rights at all except the right to get the heck out of Israel’s tiny land and go inhabit one of the 500 billion acres in the Arab run countries.

Ha ha ha ha, very funny. You're making light of the situation in Gaza. I think I want to vomit.

The UN has described Israel's actions in Gaza as ethnic cleansing, the Palestinian have the right to blow Olmert's head off with an RPG, or any Israeli soldier who threatens their land. Damnit, they're people too, though for some reason, many americans don't recognize that...

Hell, if they killed olmert I would applaud, that piece of sub-human filth deserves it more than almost anyone else...

Why can't Israel defend itself? Why is there such a problem with Israel existing? How many Arab states are there in existence? Now, how many Jewish states? Come on. It isn't like the Palestinians are helping the situation. It's not as though they aren't teaching their children to be a martyr for the cause and taking as many civilian Jews with them as possible.

The scourge of this generation is that we have decided to let the holocaust hold as back from criticizing the actions of the Jewish state. This has allowed a once victimized people to become the perpetrators of genocide.50 years ago the world stood by while Jewish blood flowed in the streets of Germany, today the world stands by while Palestinian blood floors in Gaza. How much longer will it take for us to say Jamais plus jamais

Of course they do.... but they need to expect what is coming to them when they use terrorism against Israel. If they want Israel to stop defending their nation from terrorist acts by the Palestinians then the Palestinians need to stop committing terrorist acts. What you need to understand is that it is the Palestinians that have a choice to make not Israel.

No, there has not been a open declaration by the Israelis, or even any reasonable hint that Israel wants to annihilate the Palestinians.

1) There are no "Palestinians" it's a fictional designation invented sometime in the 1970's
2) Nobody is trying to kill all the Arabs.

They both have the right to survive. But the U.S. is the one supplying the Israelis to "survive" and we've given the Israelis massive conventional warfare devices. It's not exactly an even handed fight for the Palestinians.
