Just throw it away or donate it to Goodwill or a similar organization. (If you're feeling particularly ironic, donate it to the Salvation Army.)

Ouija boards do not "contact the spirit world". They rely on the imperceptible muscular movements of those touching the planchet -- the thing that indicates letters -- to indicate letters, numbers, etc.

Penn and Teller on their Showtime Show, "Bullsh*t" (with the letter I) fully and soundly debunked Ouija boards.

They had a group of people use a Ouija board normally. The planchet indicated words, apparently answered questions, etc.

They then blindfolded the group and, without telling the group, rotated the Ouija board 180 degrees. The board didn't function as it did when the group was not blindfolded. For example, when a Yes/No question was asked, the planchet indicated the spots that "Yes" or "No" had been before it was rotated. Neither did any words get accurately spelled out by the planchet.

Obviously, either spirits are completely blind or the Ouija board opperates based on the imperceptible muscular actions of the participants.

So, just toss it. Nothing bad is going to happen.

If you have a commercially produced ouija board - throw it away. Anything unnerving that came with that, was due to the participants, not the board. If you have an old, hand-made one that has generations of use behind it, you will need to be a little more careful. I suggest digging a hole and lining it with salt, placing the board on the salt and covering it with more salt, then refilling the hole. Again if it was commercially produced, it's not the board that is freaking you out and you need to ask another question to get the answer you require.

Burn it and dig a deep hole, somewhere far away from your house, put a lot of salt in the hole, put the board in and then put more salt on top, cover it with dirt. and never go back there again.. Or, you put it on ebay as a haunted item. Believe it or not, people pay a high dollar for s..t like that sometimes. There are people who are fascinated by stuff like that. seriously though, if you are having problems with ouiji board addiction firstly you need to seek professional addiction assistance. POut the board away out of sight or in someone else's hands.

Still feel like it's a problem for you? coat it with an oil based shade of beige, let it dry and then pitch in the bon fire outside. There is no real need to make it an elaborate ritual, just go on with your life.

Take the board out of the house and burn it or bury it, then perform a ritual cleansing of your house.

Then again, you can always leave it on the steps of a local church... I have "heard" this is what you are "supposed" to do...

Well I had a friend who claimed that she tried to get rid of hers but it kept coming back into their home so they burned it supposedly to get rid of it. Even then she believes it brought her bad luck....I don't know how far this is true but I suggest you burn it just to be safe.
