Started out in Corpus Christi decades ago, and then spend decades in Dallas, then a few years in Commerce, and then a few years in Arlington, and then about half a year in Abilene, and then a few more years in Arlington, then about 14 years in the Longview area, then a year back in Ft. Worth and now just a few miles northwest of Longview deep in the wooded countryside. I agree with no nickname in that ya'll have a good riverwalk, at least when it's not summertime and the river's running low. Ya'll need to keep the Alamo preserved well. It's a vital part of our Great State. You'd love the wooded countryside up here in northeast Texas. God Bless you.

My parents are from Europe and my father sings at the Beethoven in King Williams. I was not born in Texas, but here in the USA. I claim myself to be a Texas as I have been here for 34 years. Like my dad said, just cause you are born in a barn doesn't make you an animal. I may not have been born in Texas, but I have lived here almost all my life...as have my children and their daddy, so I claim Texas as where I am from.
