i am tired of the traffic the crackheads and the over priced food gulf shores alabama is a retirement area so the price of living here has doubled and the wages suck i been at my farm job 4 years and still havent made it to $ 10.00 a hour yet my bills are over $1500.00 a month i only make $1600.00 not nearly enough i am about 600.00 short every month my girlfriend has to pick up the slack with her disabulity check and we still cant eat right or afford to put gas in her car and we cant get foodstamps or find anything cheaper so i want to leave this state and start over and need help finding something better than this

If your girlfriend gets a check for disability, then she should qualify for foodstamps, and Medicaid, if that's the route you want to take. Otherwise, you should take your skills (whatever they may be) and MOVE AWAY. Think about it--people have been moving to find better jobs since FOREVER! If you have "backwoods skills", then you should bring them to a place that has folks like you. South Carolina will get what you're sayin', and VA too. What kind of assets do you have? Can you turn them into cash to support you both long enough to find your way? These are the things to consider before picking up stakes, in my opinion.

Although, yes you are in the wrong category, I would look west, Montana, Idaho, or Oregon, We have small populations, but a very hospitibale atmosphere, and many activity options!
