Great question - and yes, I did have a very embarrassing moment. It was at a viewing for a neighbor, and I was talking with another neighbor when she was telling me a funny story she and the deceased had a few years ago. Well, at the end of her very funny tale I began to laugh, just as everyone in the room seemed to shut up - the laugh was so loud everyone immediately looked at me with such disgust - I was totally embarrassed! Inappropriate - yes, but we were simply remembering a good time, but I was told by many people after wards that it was totally bad timing.

Yes. At work during lunch everyone was talking loudly at once, as usual. I was telling a story to a coworker, and just when I was describing something personal the room went silent. All eyes turned.

Yup, me thinks we all have! Especially when the music (band) is very loud and one has to speak loudly to our friend/partner. For some reason, the music always stops during a loud conversation.
On one occasion (not embarrassing) I was entering a club during a Thunderstorm! As I opened the doors, a crack of very loud thunder took place. All eyes were upon me!
With no idea as to what to say ... I said loudly ...
Behold, I have arrived!
Got a standing ovation for that one!

I always seem to be saying something embarrassing about sex or my period or someone I fancy, and then realise that the back door is open and all my neighbours could hear me.

Yes... I once said to a friend of mine that I had a "not so fresh" feeling and someone taped it and put it on a commercial.
