I used to be able to copy stuff on my Acer Aspire laptop, but it froze & died 2 wks ago. Got my Acer Travelmate Notebook and tried my email today. Different Yahoo toolbar. I can't copy text from my email to my MS Office Word by clicking "Copy" or "Cut" in Yahoo and then "paste" in Word. Any suggestions, anyone?

Sure!

In your e-mail, highlight the text you wish to copy by selectng the start of your text with the left mouse button. Keeping the button depressed, move to the end of the text and then release the button. Your text should remain highlighted.

Right-click on your mouse and a menu appears--choose "Copy". Switch over to Microsoft Word and place your cursor on the location where you wish to paste your text. Right-click and choose "paste".

You're done!

Once you're a pro at this, you can go even faster by choosing Ctrl-C (to copy) and Ctrl-V (to paste).

Another tip: you can switch between your e-mail browser and Word by using Alt-Tab. Very handy for switching between your progams.

Hope this helps!

You will have to do it the old school way with letter keys.
Highlight the text you want copied and then copy and paste it into your Word Processor.

Ctrl-X = cut = X it out
Ctrl-C = copy = Copy
Ctrl-V = paste = Victory

These are the keys you need to press (press both the control key and the letter key at the same time).
Then I have the operation that you are doing.
Then I have the memory aid that I use so I know which key does which operation.

I want to either X out the text, or copy it and when I finally paste it into the program I have Victory!

You should be able to click and drag your cursor over the email that you'd like to copy to highlight it, then right click in the highlighted area and "copy". Then just open MS Word and right click in the text area and "paste". If you cant do it, let me know and I'll be happy to help you further. Larry RadioShack 01-9590

select the text you want and then click and hold the highlighted area. drag to the MS word button on the taskbar, hold it for a few secs and then it will change to MS word. then, move the mouse to where you want the text, and release the mouse button. or use the shortcut keys the others mentioned
