Hi. Sometimes its the difference between being married or getting divorced. An acquaintance bought a tennis bracelet for his wife, Three of the stones were diamonds (out of about twenty). He knew which ones were real. His wife, a little concerned with how much it cost, asked it the stones were real and the guy said yes, proving it by scratching glass with two or three of the stones. He almost got away with the lie but his wife, not wanting to lose the value if the bracelet was stolen, had it appraised for insurance. The divorce soon followed. CZ is not made in th same manner.
Diamonds are created under INTENSE pressure, and because of that they are incredibly difficuly to damage.
Cubic Zirconium is simply not as strong, because it is not created under the same type of enourmous pressure.
