deliver on before or after you due date...What kinds of symptoms did you have that told you labor was around the corner?
I am 37 weeks pregnant with my 1st and just curious...especially since i have had signs since i was 34 weeks...Thanks

i had both my kids early..like two weeks before the due date..
with my first i had those braxtion hicks for like month. so i paid no attation...then one day i went in to my doc appt and they are like hey you know your in labor right? i had no clue i was...lol..just thought it was those fake contractions...lol.

Unfortunately not only is every woman different so is every pregnancy! I have 3 , one on the way, there truly are NO signs. What may seem like a sign can be misleading...You can lose your plug for 2 weeks and not go into labor, I had cramps with my 2nd for 2 weeks and was dilated to 4, my 3rd I was dilated to a 6-7 and still wasn't going into labor a week late. So as much as you would like to know when and where and all the mystery I am afraid you will just have to wait. For me nothing was textbook, I never had contractions consistently so if I had waited for them to be certain minutes apart my husband would have delivered the baby.
The only sure sign is your water breaking, at that point you have to go to the hospital.

I was due Jan. 04 2004. I was scheduled to be induced on Dec 28 2004. My son was born on Dec. 24 2004. I had absolutely no symptoms except the puddle in the kitchen floor when my water broke! They come when they want, sometimes with very few signs. I didn't even have a bag packed since I was set to be induced on the next Tues. My advice is pack a bag, and have it ready, you just never know!

I had mine the day before his due date and I honestly dont remember any symptoms telling me that I was about to go into labor. I mean I had signs like you starting early, so that is why they really meant nothing to me and didnt drastically change. So then I when I went into labor, I just noticed very slight not painful at all cramps every so often, and decided to go to bed, and then at 4 in the morning woke up in the worst pain of my life. That was exactly how it was. Happened fast.

My son was 17 days early.... I woke up at 2am (Christmas morning!!!!!) when I thought I peed my pants.... so I changed my undies and went back to bed, then I peed again! So I sat on the toilet for about 1/2 an hour and I would pee every few minutes... turned out that my water was breaking... and it took about 3 hours.... lol! I went through alot of undies and pads!!!! Then when I got to the hospital and they hooked me up to a monitor they told me I was having a contraction.... and I hadn't realized it, but I had been feeling them for 3 days... I just didn't know they were contractions!!!!
My daughter was 9 days late... the night before I was going to be induced, I used my breastpump to try to induce labor on my own without drugs.... 2am I started having contractions 4 minutes apart! I was happy to not have to be induced!!!!!

I gave birth the day b/f my due date! Every cramp or "odd" thing that happened I thought "Oh this is it." But you will know when you are in labor. I know so many people have told you that, but it is true. You will KNOW when you are having a contraction. Good Luck, I hope all goes well. And Congratulations!

I have a 5month old she's my first baby. During my 8month of pregnancy i was having alot of braxton hicks, and alot of pressure at the bottom of my stomach. My water broke on my due date and i deliver the next day on Father's Day.

my daughter was 12 days early...i woke up w/ pains in my thighs/contractions every 4-5 min...after about an 1 1/2 i called my doc and she told me to go to the hospital...i also lost my mucus plug while at home...also i kinda had a gut feeling that i was in labor...2 weeks b4 this my doc said i was dialated 3 cm...u will kinda know ur in labor cuz that was a lil fear i had...not knowin wen i was in labor :)....congrats and good luck w/ ur lil one....they grow too quick

i went into labor when i was 33 weeks pregnant. it wasn't false labor. i had to go on bedrest for a month.
i had my baby when i was 38 weeks pregnant.
i knew that giving birth was right around the corner. when it was very uncomfortable to walk. my tummy felt really REALLY heavy.

i had my son at 35 1/2 weeks
due to high blood pressure he became a risk to me. so the c section him and i was due in march had him in February
i knew something was wrong i was so tired and sick with flu like symptoms weak and felt crappy. my hoe nurse made me go to the hospital then 19 hour later my bundle of joy arrived
