Is anyone else bored with our national anthem? Ours sounds so dull - wouldn't something like Land of Hope and Glory be better? That is much more rousing!

lets change it to "always look on the bright side of life"by monty python
or the spam song or the lumberjack song anything but the dirge we have now .its why we lose at footy the players are comatose by the end and have lost the will to live let alone kick a ball about .

Sounds like the children are getting confused. God Save The Queen is the National Anthem (sacred song) for the United Kingdom. It was formerly also the National Anthem of Australia and New Zealand. Are the kids talking about a new Anthem for the whole of the UK or England. I think that Her Majesty might have some say in this anyway!

I totally agree with you, we do need a new national anthem and Land of Hope and Glory or Rule Britannia should be picked.

Assuming, of course, that you are talking about the USofA
Actually, there are other countries in the world, other countries who also have national anthems!!

The National Anthem of the UK is inspirational and holy. I for one do want it to be changed. I think it is good to be able to pray for our Sovereign Lady in such a manner.
