You have to open an account on eBay. It's not difficult; but you'll need a credit card and be able to provide some information about how you can be contacted. It's also a good idea to open a Paypal account while your at it. Paypal is the easiest way to pay most of the sellers on eBay.
Good luck. Ebay is a lot of fun. You'll find everything under the sun sold there.

I would be very careful when purchasing used merchandise off the Internet. Some of it is worthless and outdated. Know your product and understand your options. I would shy away from electronics unless the price is very low also consider the price of shipping and do a background check on the seller [EBay]. I normally buy things like Ski's and clothing but I am a smaller size which tends to get discounts. For example, I was going to buy some athletic pants on line and I ended up getting them cheaper from a retailer. On the other hand I ordered new ski boots for 50% off because of my size. Be careful and avoid compulsive shopping behavior, men tend to buy things they have on a warranted list. With this said my personal shopping is done for the fiscal 2006 year. Good luck.

It depends. You can purchase things online from certain places and be perfectly fine or you can be reckless and purchase things from a false internet website. The best website is Amazon.

well first you register with the site. then you try to win the auction, but some items you can purchase. Then you pay the guy with a credit card or check.

2. sign up for an account (click register)
3. when you find an item you want, click add item to cart
4. when you're finished, go to "check out" or "pay" and pay by typing in your credit card number, or whatever, follow the instructions.

safest way is to see if seller will take a money order and mail it to them or go to www.paypal.com and open up an account with them, very secure site.
