She hates it when ppl copy her(own the same thing as her), so I don't buy anything I know she owns. But recently she has been copying ME, and not even caring. She buys things I own, even when Im right there and tell her I own it already. I tried saying we should just buy whatever we want from now on regardless of if one of us ownes it already, but she says she hates being copied. I hate shopping with her, because sometimes she even takes clothing from my changing room to try on herself, and even has the audacity to claim it as hers BUT here is the tricky part, she thinks she is a unique person, and doesn't believe she is copying at all and that I'm a copy cat. She even openly asks me where i get things when ppl compliment me on them. I have tried confronting her on this, but she doesn't believe she is a copy cat. She admits to buying things i own, but doesn't want me buying things she owns. Should i just buy whatever I want and ignore this bitchy aspect of her? Nice friend except 4 this

I know what you mean. I had a copy cat myself too that stalked me.. well I just wrote her to never copy me again or I will f*** her world up. So far so good she has left me alone.
Tell her that you are buying something or get something that is ugly and then when she buys it take it back to the store without telling her and then she will wear it and it will be ugly and she won't be copying you but yet she be wearing something really ugly and that way its teaching her a lesson that not to copy you.
Good Luck!

Maybe it's a good time for that serious friend talk. Personally, I wouldn't want to wear the same clothes as my friends (unless it's mutual that we wear the same shirt but with different colors), and fortunately, my friends, we all have different styles. You said you have confronted her and she still denies it? Well, she's in serious denial. Why don't you try to change your style. I mean, not for good, just to prove to her that she's copying your style. Well, thats if she'd bite and go buy the same things for herself. Make her see it on her own. And when she realizes what she's doing, I'm sure she'll think about buying the same things you have. It's worth a try. Goodluck!

Yeah that can be frustrating. Just try to avoid shopping with her. If you do go shopping, maybe put the things that you think you like behind the sales counter and tell them you will come back later for it. Do this while she is in the changing room. Starting to sound a little "single white female - esque". Doesnt sound like she is going to veer away from you choosing what she is going to wear, and sounds like she may be a bit insecure or something. Just know that you are the innovator, and that she obviously needs someone to inspire her.

Whether she realizes it or not, your friend is copying you because she likes your tastes. Imitation is truly the sincerest form of flattery, however, she gets mad if you buy anything she has, which is a sign she is very insecure about herself. Flatter her, give good, but honest compliments whenever you can, but stop playing the game she is unwittingly playing and buy things to suit yourself. If she gets angry, tell her the truth as I told you, "Imitation Is The Sincerest Form Of Flattery" Also assure her you are her friend and that you love her. Good Luck and God Bless you both.

Seems to me if this is nit picking. If she is a good friend let her get what she wants. If it bothers you to go shopping with her--don't go. Could it be she sees some good points to the way you do and buy things and she wants to be just like you cause you r popular or whatever!Good friends are hard to come by. Think about it---is this all that important. Just tell yourself it's ok! No big deal! Good friends will do anything for each other if it makes them happy.

Just buy whatever you like. When one of my friends tell me I copied them. I just tell them when I walked into te store it did not say "Yesenias Clothes Do not buy" or when she tells you she has that shirt tell her so do over five million people in the world. Shes just being bithy she needs to get over it and herself.

Buy what you want because she doesn't seem like she's a real friend and she seems fake and artificial. Those are people you don't need in your life.
Don't worry about her or what she'll say, buy what you want. If she says something tell her off. I mean tell her something like that you're not copying if you bought it first and all.

Buy whatever you want. If she doesn't like it she can shop somewhere else. Don't tell her where you get things from, just say you don't remember. Don't go shopping with her, do something else instead.

make your own clothes and/or buy stuff that's one-of-a-kind. tell her to piss off and get her own style instead of stealing yours.
