Steve McQueen's car had Mag wheels, it did not have hubcaps to begin with, but in classic hollywood effects, the car he chased lost somewhere between 7 and 8 during the nearly 11 minute chase. The last three occur as the vehicle lands after going off road just before the crash into the petrol station.
