There are some really nice people in the world...some very different people and a few that are downright loony! Yahoo Answers is like a microcosm of society and you get a feel for people and their ideas and a glimpse into their lives. I have learned quite a bit myself...it might not be obvious but it's there if you look hard enough.

I learned that up until now, I have led a very sheltered life. I was raised in a conservative Christian home and live in small-town America where everyone is Christian.
So then I start reading in Religion and Spirituality, and wow...
there are so many people out there that don't believe in God and call people like us "Bible thumpers." (among other things).
I never knew anyone like that before.
It was a big chance for me to step out of my little world and be exposed to other beliefs.

I've learned that it's a good idea to use the end of two Q-tips to squeeze a zit. I've already tried it and it's a very good (and sanitary) tip (no pun intended) ;o)

I've learned that it's okay to share a little of yourself with other people---not name, rank, serial number, but of your mind and soul.
