My son is 3 years old and I still breast feed him. I am scared to stop,but I am also scared because he is at that age where he starting to relize what a boob is.How do I get him to eat regular milk?

That is very late! You should have stopped around a year. Start weening him off a feeding a day and give him a cup of milk in a sippy. Every few days, take him off a feeding until all together. Goodluck! It will not be easy.

If he is 3 yrs. old he should be using a sippy cup for water. He needs to get other liquids. You need to just start giving him more and more milk that way and less and less from the breast. He will be weaned in no time. Just know that it's time and do it. Tell him he needs to drink from a cup. At 3 he should be getting most of his nourishment from food and cereal also. Just like anthing with kids, it takes time and effort to make the change.It's time. You need to make the effort. Good luck.

Why are you scared to stop????? He is three now, he should be eating table food, drinking water, juice and some milk. You have got your self into an odd mess. Tell him he will be drinking from a cup from now on.

Put your foot down.. I know its really hard to see them unhappy. I breastfed my daughter until she was 2 1/2. The pain from her teeth drove me crazy!! I left her with my parents for 2 weeks which was really hard but ended up being the best thing ever!! I hope this helps good luck!

Okay, I don't know what planet Kelly is from, but it is not okay to breastfeed until the child is three or four. Just give him a sippy cup and he'll be fine. He may protest at first, but he'll get used to it.

you know with your other question about shaving off the tip of your nipple and then having green pus comming out I would think you would be at a Doctors office not asking if your THREE YEAR OLD should be breast feeding!!

it's ok. my mom still breast fed me till i was 4. along with a bottle i mean. and i'm ok. except for the fact that i spit a lot when i talk. just kidding. your son will be fine.
