What's wrong with it? I think lawyers like it illegal because if a man has more than one wife he likely won't get bored and run around on her and lawyers then don't make money off them.
If it's agreeable to the parties involved, what's wrong with it? I think some laws are absurd... My 2c.

Polygamy in this day and age is a religious term, not a secular one. essentially it is a marriage to more than one spouse.
It carries with it the stigma of arranged marriages and under aged marriages. Not good things and illegal too and I am no expert on the religious bases except, contrary to popular belief, the bible does no prohibit it.
Polyandry is where a mating of a woman to two or more males.
Polygyny mating of a single male with several females.
I think the secular term: Polyamory is more appropriate because it defines the practice and doesn't carry any religious tones to it.
Polyamory is defined by most as more than one love. The important thing, contrary to swinging which is sex without emotional involvement, is that there is an emotional aspect to their relationships. rather than go into it in any detail here is a link that will help:
http://www.polyamorysociety.org/
For me: it is the relationship that makes it right, not the sex, although that is part of it too.
I don't think there is a wrong here.... but polyamory is right for me

Nothing wrong with it if the women are virgins, widows, or properly divorced from their former husbands. King David had multiple wives which were given to him by God and that was okay. I think the man though has a lot of responsibility and needs to treat each wife equally. I don't like the idea of a head wife because women aren't always the best leaders because of their hormones. I know I would much rather prefer a man over me instead of a woman :)

hmm well legally it is wrong to have more than one spouse. and it has to be hard to share your spouse with someone else. how fair is that anyway. i like to know i am number one in my husbands life....to know that there are "marriages" out there where the wives are actually numbered infuriates me. seems like the lucky one is the man who gets to boink several different women.

Hmm, let's see. Two incomes, four arms to hold me, four eyes to adore me, two mouths to kiss me, two hearts to love me. I don't see a problem here.

I have no problem with polygamy as long as the man can afford it.
