Don't do it. The kid will be tormented for life. Give her a normal name. Like...Emily. Or, if you're looking for a bibical name, Moriah.

Really, it's your choice, however do remember Isaiah is a traditionally male name (as I'm aware of it) so you (and your daughter!) will get comments for the rest of her life.

Mr Isaiah Jones? :P And a girl stands up? I'm not against it by any means, but I do dislike it when parents name their children something unusual then throw a fit when the general public doesn't know how to pronounce it immediately, or is surprised when they refer to the child mistakenly by the wrong gender.

Otherwise, I think it'd be pretty. ^_^

Isaiah is a really cool name, but it's usually a boys' name. (Not that that matters, I want to name my son Lorelei.)

But it could be easily made fun of. Isaiah can easily be changed to @ss-anything.

As a middle name it would be perfect.

I suggest some others:

Anastasia, Aislinn, Cecilia, Natalya, Emilie, Lillian, Vivian, Alcyone, Aramina, Annice, Skylar, Jessabelle, Calliope, Lessa, Mercedes, Dierdre, Rosalind, Abigail, Eleanor, Lilith, Anya, Fiona, Guinevere, Genevieve, Delia, Delilah, Lilith, Cordelia, Evelyn, Anneliese, Quinn, Rowan, Lyta, Lilyana, Erin, Brianna, Vaneris

Some of these are very gender-nonspecific <3 good luck!

Honestly, my first thought was,... Isaiah for a girl... (we had been considering it if we ever had a boy) but I think the more I think about it, I like this name for a girl!!! Put it with a very feminine middle name and it will be great!!!

Congrats &&
God Bless

Isaiah is a cool name but...I think that it will be one of those names that she is constantly explaining that she is female...is it a family name? Wondering why you would pick this for a girl?

It sounds cute, BUT THINK OF HER FUTURE!!! No offense, but what guy would want to say they're dating a girl with a dude's name. It sounds so dang superficial but it's like a girl showing up with her boyfriend "Mallory" for her parents to meet. People and especially kids can be mean... your daughter will probably either become strong and defend her name... or become reserved and resentful of the teasing and lack of relationships... Good Luck!!!

I don't think Isaiah is a good name for a girl. It sounds a little to masuline to me. That's just my opinion though.

I think it's fine. She can go by Isaiah if she wants to be different, or Izzy if she prefers. It's a good compromise, I think.

That's terrible! Are you trying to make her da butt of all the classroom jokes. I know a girl named Travis and she still gets strange looks even at the age of 23! The kid will be tormented. She will be labeled a loser!! Please for your child's welfare name her something like Mary or Veronica still biblical but feminine biblical!! You do want her to have a prom date don't you!!

This name is too old for this century. Why would you want to put such a poor name on a child. The name for child should be one that fits with the time and makes the child proud not embarrassed.
