You need to talk to your mom and ask her what you need to do to prove to her that you are old enough for a sleepover. I feel really bad for you for having to miss out.

I'm sorry about that
i went on my first sleepover when i was 3 and my little brother was born.
but it was at least 8 the next time i slept over at someone Else's house.
it sounds like your mom is really protective, but she is just looking out for you.
try asking if you can have a sleepover at your house, and when you do show her how you would act, be very responsible and don't stay up too late, that way maybe she won't be as afraid next time you ask to sleepover.

Well I am going to aswer that from both sides. From your point you really want to spend time with your friends and I understand it is embarrasing to be the only one not allowed. Try showing your mom that you are growing up and maturing and that you deserve some responsibility. But from your mom's point, she is only trying to protect you.. There are so many bad things happening to kids now-a-days that she is just trying to keep you from. If she didn't love you she wouldn't care. Now if you did something wrong and she is not letting you go because of punishment then that is a different story. But one last thing; try having her meet and talk to the other persons parents first, maybe that will work. GOODLUCK

I was able to sleepover at my friends house when I was 9 years old, I bet I would if I was 7 also... but I guess from 7 and up if they are comfortable away from home and as long as the parent meets the other parent then it should be alright. 13 years old is an age where they DEFINITELY should be able to sleep over, as long as the parent meets the other parent.

Try to reason with your mom. She is probbably one of those moms who doesn't like the fact that her kids are growing up. So show her you can be responsible. That you not a little girl anymore. Talk to your mom. Ask her for some trust.

My children did before they were 13 and so did my grandchildren. We lived in a small town and so do my children.(less than 3,000) I always knew the parents and had been in the homes before my children were allowed to sleep over. My children have the same rules for my grandchildren.
