Cash in bonds; check savings funds; or take jewelry/personal goods to a pawn shop for quick cash. If you won't be able to come back to the pawn shop and re-purchase the items--remember to say good bye to them when you walk out the door with the cash!

If you really need the cash for short term, and you have the ability to pay it off, I will say borrow from credit card company.
Again, only if you have the ability to pay it off in a month or two. Otherwise, you will be digging a hole for yourself.
