My 13 yo kid gets very upset when carrots, steak, potatoes etc., etc touch each other when surving meals. Just curious to know if more people feel the same.

perhaps the statement "kids getting very upset" is too strong. She prefers if they do not touch! There is nothing wrong with her upbringing - she is happy, normal, good student, excelent in sport, travel extensivelly, keeps her room very clean & is very responsible person!

Yes I know several people like that and the food has to be even you have to have the same amount of everything so when you eat it comes out even. I generally wind up mixing mine together when I'm nearly done.

My 8 year old is like that. I always found that odd. Me? I love it when my food co-mingles. If my corn decides to get busy with the smashed potatoes... so be it. It's all good, and it's all going to the same place!

Depends on what it is...I hate when you have spaghetti and it isn't drained well enough and the water makes your sauce runny. Some foods do go well together though like mac & cheese & baked beans. I mix them all the time.

I used to keep them seperate, but now I don't care if they mix together. It all goes to the same place. I appreciate the different textures.

Yes I allow it to touch. But if it is something with juice running from it...like peas or corn, I don't want my bread or pork chop to get wet.

it doesn't bother me if my food touches, except when it's like some kind of liquid on my plate and it gets onto my peas or something but i won't get upset about it and not eat it.

My food touches all the time, it all goes down the same place so why should I worry about my food touching? :)
