Once you have deleted a certain item of history from your computer, is there anyway of finding the history again on your computer? or is it deleted forever from you computer?

No, its not gone.

Depending on your browser(IE), the websites you visit are saved to a *.dat file on your system. This file can be read and all the sites you have visited since you first installed can be decrypted from its contents.

It take some effort to delete these files and the buttons clear history doesn't do it.

Yes, someone will find your history. Try CCleaner to delete history forever

Its gone. I have to yet to come across a utility that can recover the deleted history.
