It depends what your wanting to do. If your laptop is just for games, then get a Wii. However, if the laptop is for education or more practical things, get the laptop

They are very difference products. Doesn't asking this question mean you don't really have very specific uses in mind for either purchase? I mean, the potential uses for a laptop are more towards productivity, or solo gaming, and even on the low end will cost anywhere from $800-$1000.
The Wii, on the other hand, is a dedicated entertainment system weighing in only at $250. It's kinda like comparing apples and oranges, and if you don't know already which one suits your needs (if you have any specific needs at all), you're probably better off getting the cheaper Wii.

Well the wii will be able to do most of what a laptop can if you have wifi. It just isnt as portable. But if you have the money et a laptop because it will have the all around best games.

A laptop is better than a Wii of course, but costs 2x-3x as much, maybe more for a really good one. A Wii costs $250.

You should probably get a laptop, but if you really have no need for one, just get the wii. Of course....you can always use a laptop to buy a wii online..hmm....

if you are comparing prices, there is no way you are gonna get a GOOD laptop for the price of a Wii. personally if i was gonna get a laptop, i would go all out and get top of the line. i don't have that kind of money though so i'm getting a Wii (and because they rock)

Laptop. DO NOT GET A WINDOWS LAPTOP. Vista operating system stinks. It goes so slow. The start up time is like pre-heating an oven. And Windows 7 is a little better but not much. Get a Mac, way better.

both. if your willing to spend the money on a laptop, find one marked down, on sale etc. then use the saved money from the laptop to buy the 250 dollar wii

As someone who's actually played Wii Sports and Zelda: Twilight Princess ... GET A WII! You won't regret it.
