Congress has been involved in baseball. The Congress let MLB get around the anti-trust rules.

Because if Congress gets involved to any large extent of the league, they will literally take it over with much stricter rules. They will change the game overall for the worse. It is a game of entertainment. If they can take over baseball they should take over all sports and the entertainment industry.

Congress should take care of the business of running our country. Baseball should take care of running the business of baseball. Both could be better at the job their doing.
