Now, before you start saying they had their shot and all that crap.Listen to me.How many defeats does Michigan,Florida,Arkansas, and Notre Dame have (rutgers are showing the mediocracy of the big east right now by getting whooped by Cincinnati) they all have one! And which loser lost to the highest ranked team? Michgan...we lost to the number one team in the country.Plus we beat Notre Dame so how can they make it. USC is trailing right now and if no adjustment they go home.

No!! You have to look at it from OSU point of view. What would be the point? If they played again and Michigan won all that does is show that each team won a game a piece. To me that means a co-national championship. Personally I think Florida is a better team than Michigan but we may never know how good. This is why division 1A needs a playoff system. Once and for all put a 16 team tournament together and play for the real national championship.

I think you are absolutely right.
I think, that with USC's, Auburn's, Florida's and Arkansas' losses earlier in the season and the matter in which they lost, and the fact that Michigan's only loss was to the # 1 ranked team AT HOME (by only 3 points) is more than enough reason to merit a rematch with Ohio State in Glendale AZ. on January 8th.
If you want to say that since Michigan already lost to Ohio State they don't deserve another shot, fine, but let me remind you people, in 1996 Florida lost to Florida State in the regular season, (also a # 1 # 2 match-up by the way) then played them again in The Orange Bowl and won, so don't say that it is a foregone conclusion that OSU would win again, so bring on someone else.

The BCS was a system put in place to pit the #1 ranked team vs. the #2 ranked team, regardless of team, and regardless of record. If Michigan happens to be that #2 team in the BCS when all is said and done, the rematch will happen. It has nothing to do with "deserving" a rematch. The BCS was the system put into place, for better or for worse, and that's how the system operates. If Michigan and Ohio State had played each other in Week 2 of the regular season, with the same result, would the "rematch" factor matter as much? I suspect not.

At first, I wasn't in favor of another OSU - Michigan game so soon. I have changed my mind. When all of the regular season games are done, if they are still number 1 and 2, they deserve to play in the championship game. I think it would be interesting to see them play on a neutral field. I also think it would be interesting to see the coaches gameplans for a rematch. I hope they play again.

I wouldn't want to see Michigan play Ohio State again. We lost. Ohio State won. Except for that slippery new turf they installed (which they should get rid of asap), OSU won fair and square. It was a GREAT game and this remains a great rivalry. God bless Bo and Woody and all the coaches that have followed before and after them.

first off...beating ND is nothing...ND hasn't played anybody.
they played Army today...what a hard game.
I think they should see what everyones record is in the end. So what that they got beat by the #1 team. Everyone else that has played Ohio State got beaten by the #1 team. This has been the 2nd number 1 and 2 game this season.(Texas).
i don't wanna see 2 teams playing from the same conference. and its probably the biggest rivalries in college football...why ruin something that is great?
