Wolverine make amazingly comfy boots.
The Dura Shock sole makes them feel like you're wearing sneakers.

Oh, it is such a ***** to find them, believe me. I have to wear work boots at work, and, for some reason, most of the places I go seem to believe that the only use a woman will have for boots is for some light summer hiking. Grrr. Really, the best thing to do is just to buy men's boots. Find a store with a decent size selection, and ask for shoes two sizes below what you wear with women's. This works especially well if you have somewhat wider feet, like me, since men's shoes are cut a little wider. You can find cheap work boots at Target's and those stores, but it is definitely worth it to spend the money to buy the expensive boots. After you break in a pair of leather ones, your feet will be happy, especially if you stick those Dr. Scholl's pads in.

zappos.com

edit:

This is the best online shopping site... ever. They offer free shipping on every order, and they have superior customer service as well as the best return policy I've ever seen. Zappos.com is the only way I will ever buy shoes again.

I did a search for women steel toe boots. There are also other categories including slip proof, oil proof, and other industrial things I don't understand, but you might.

Anyway, I thought these were cute, the link should take you directly to the picture, and you can see all of the specifications of the boot. Good luck.
