well i have windows xp and with xp u have usernames. with usernames u can personalize them to your own settings and protect your username with a personalized password.

i believe even the new Apple computers have usernames.

i don't believe that there is such thing of locking a computer completely. i no that windows professional has that feature but that would mean that you would have to upload new software and professional is about 250 bucks. kind of expensive if all u r buying it for is to be able to lock ur computer.
