Public library archives or microfilm. You'd have to put a quarter in the copy machine maybe, but it'd beat the $5 the mag would cost.

Go the magazine's web site and look for article archives. If it isn't there and isn't in the library, you can fax or telephone one of the editors (choose one with a lower level title - the assistant editor or associate editor instead of editorial director or editor-in-chief) and ask if they will please send you a copy of that one article.
