Burn a copy of the CD, but OMIT the files you want to delete. Once the burn process is finished, and you've confirmed that the undesired files are not included and the files you care about are secure, destroy the original CD.

Read-only files on the CD can only be deleted if the CD is a re-writeable. From my point of view, your CD is only read and write only. That means you are allow to continue adding files to the CD until all the disk space on the CD is used up but you cannot delete files away.
if you wish to delete file, you have to purchase CD-RW CD for read, write and delete.

im not sure if this will work but here goes:
1. Make sure you are on the same conputer that you wrote the disk with.
2. Open the disk folder, DO NOT USE AUTOPLAY!
3. Right click on one of the files, then go to properties.
4. Ther should be a check box labeled READ ONLY, uncheck it.
that should work, if it doesnt then im rally sorry, but thats all i know.

If they are on a CD, they are on there forever. You will need to destroy the CD if you want to "erase" the files from existence.

Unless it is a RW (read write) CD you can't erase anything from it, as the first person pointed out.
