because i wear glasses and i think of my self as ugly thats why i want contacts but i am eleven should i worry about it

No-please do not worry about it-also no 11 year old is ugly for all little girls are naturally cute. Glasses can also make you look cool,smart 11 is also a bit young for contacts for everything is still growing. Glasses are especially cool for they light up the world like in Hey,I can see. Althought everybody wants to be pretty think its more important to be smart so make sure you get good grades and when you leave high school it'll be to go to college so you can get a high powered job. A person is not pretty by what they wear on the outside but they are pretty by what they wear on the inside! You personality is more important than glasses. I was in your same shoes when I was your age. I am 44 now and still wear them, I have a boyfriend who also wears them and he likes my glasses. If for some reason you are getting teased just remember the ones that are teasing you are not worth worrying about. Find some real friends.

Your reasoning is ridiculous. Is a person with one leg ugly or nice looking because they walk with a crutch?

Does the wheel chair make the person ugly or attractive because they have no legs and sit in it?

An eye problem causes you to have to use glasses to correct the issue, that has nothing to do with you being beautiful or not.

Beauty does not come from the outside of the body, it comes from with in. Lying comes out of the mouth, to rape starts with in the mind. Every ugly negative thing/action that has been done on this earth became a reality when the person/s chose to commit the act. Nothing outside of the body was a party to the decision making process, it was and is from with in!

The idea that glasses play apart in how you look is crap society hangs on you to get MONEY! This kind looks better, that kind looks worse, not which one helps you to see better? Which one is safer and helps you see better?

The one that God blessed so that they do not require glasses to see, have nothing to say, no judgment of any kind to pass and should only have a constant prayer on their lips for those that do and those that do not.

Any one that comments about the medical/physical state of another have no place at the table of life!

Get glasses that you love. I used to think the same thing when I was younger and refused to wear them. Then I turned 16 and realized I could not drive w/o them.
So then I found a cute little pair and all I ever got was compliments. So it made me feel better. Don't buy from the cheapy rack you will not feel good about those...spend an extra $100 or more if your parents will let you.
BECAUSE you wear them EVERYDAY so they should be one of the nicest things you own.

No If you're pretty,then you're pretty,regardless if you were glasses.I don't use glasses all day,only sometimes at work to be able to read and concentrate better,I'm told I look more mysterious and sexy with them!I agree:)I think when girls are going through puberty they are very self-concious,I know cause I was that girl too!But believe me looking young is a beautiful thing,youthfulness in the face mean you don't need make-up,but back to the question,just go with whatever is comfortable with you,but ALWAYS remember to wear confidence!

i got contacts when i was 12, u have to get used to them a little bit. but i have worn glasses since then too and glasses can be so cute. just find a pair thats a little different or has your style, and wear them with pride. some people who have perfect vision buy fake frames and wear them just as an accessory because they think its cute. besides nothing could be as bad as me in glasses when i was 12. so no matter what you got it will be cute

It totally depends on the shape of your face and how your glasses suit your face. Sometimes, glasses can be REALLY attractive and make a person seem that much more intelligent (which is sexy). Glasses do NOT make a person ugly!!

hey kya O!Don't even think of wearing contacts at such a young age as I m 12 myself. So,try to find specs that would look cool but not nerdy or ugly on you. Try to find glasses with thick side frames. That is the hottest treand in asia! Don't use thin,metal frame and huge,big,granny lenses. I too wear specs but ppl think I look better with my specs!

It shouldn't matter what you look like with or without them. Just think of yourself as a beautiful person. I wear glasses and i'm 25. I just think to myself i'm pretty no matter what. Have a positive attitude sweeti and no matter if you wear glasses or not you will see a beautiful young lady whenever you look in the mirror.
