I don't fully understand your question. Most of the time, we will save the PowerPoint file normally in ".ppt" extension (e.g file.ppt), save it on a media storage, e.g a thumb-drive. When you reach school, copy and paste it onto the computer where you wish to play the PowerPoint slides.

If the computer at school does not have Microsoft PowerPoint program, the file cannot be open.

It depends on which version of PowerPoint are on the computer in your class. If the PowerPoint version are lower than 2007 in your class, you'd better save your presentations as PowerPoint97-2003 presentation. You can do it as following: Office button-> Save As -> PowerPoint 97-2003 presentation

Microsoft has a free powerpoint viewer, that you can use to show your power point presentation, if the computer at school doesnt have power point.

The link is below.
I have not tried, it, and it may require you to be administrator or something. Download and try it. If you can check it out on the computer the day before your presentation, could save some grief. The school may not want you to install the viewer, but shouldent hurt.

create slides on your computer. It's one of the options for powerpoint.....

Or if your school has a DVD player you could save the presentation as a JPEG. Some new DVD players support that.
