No, I don't think your wrong for not letting them play with the Bratz dolls, who cares if it's the popular thing to do, your children will not become social outcasts if they don't paly with one doll. The dolls do dress too provocatively. Children learn through play, what are they learning from human like dolls dressed like hookers. I don't have any daughters but if I did I wouldn't let them play with the Bratz dolls. My boyfriend's little sister (last year) was obbessed with the Bratz dolls and wanted some for her (10th) birthday, I said no way and got her something else, now (she just turned 11) she's moved on to obessing about Hannah Montana and (just starting) to play with makeup at home so that's a little better. In a society that already encourages young girls to grow up so fast, with TV, and the steroids in our food, why do they need dolls to speed it up? Let them be children, it only lasts a few precious years.

Why do so many people want their children to stop being children? Life is too short, let her enjoy her childhood while she can! In a few short years you'll be wondering where the years went and wishing she was little again. Please, let her be the child that she is!
I can't say I appove of the type of doll she's playing with though, if you ask me...she's too young to be playing with them! Times have changed so much, and not for the better.

Oh my goodness! Finally a child who behaves like....A CHILD!!
Let her play w/the dolls. In this day and age, it could be a lot of other things she's playing with. We only get to be children once, too bad all of us didn't try to stay in a child's place. Enjoy her spirit of youth. She'll be into boys, going out and hanging soon enough.

I know i'm young and stuff but i would say yes because that keeps her away from maturing with her age group and it could possibly lead to anti social behavior if she spends too much time with just Bratz dolls.

No, she's fine. I also played with dolls till I was 12. She'll lose interest in time and then its on to clothes, make-up, etc.

I think it's great those things still interest her. Kids are growing up way too fast these days. Enjoy these times while they last...you'll soon be booting the boys off the doorstep and trying to pry the phone from her hands!

that is so bad she could so get teased. take them away from her introduce her into something more her age. not for you for you daughters sake please before she gets teased and it becomes a big deal. one of my friends is eleven and she plays with bratz dolls and she gets teased all the time and i told her to get rid of them then i showed her something else and she never played with a single bratz doll after that
