An aneurysm is a tear in a blood vessel so you bleed internally usually in the head this can cause in increase in cranial pressure. An embolism is the movement of foreign material in the circulatory system that can move to the lung or other parts of the body causing a blockage or occlusion of a vein.

An aneurysm causes a blood vessel to burst. At the very least, you could have internal bleeding

An embolism is an air bubble, whcih can cause death, as the bloos stream is a closed system

had a 55 yr old friend with an aneurism between heart and stomach - he bled to death internally before they could get him to the ER
