Do you mean best players still living, or best players making music that airs on Top-40/Modern rock stations.

If you mean best still living, John Scofield, Pat Martino, Stanley Jordan, and Pat Metheny

If you mean for Top-40/Modern Rock, it's just Carlos Santana, Slash, and Jack White
