Wednesday Addams was the original Goth chick in terms of a television character. She was part of the TV show back when Goth was really first picking up.

Theda Bara in the 1920's did some "goth" movies, and she could be said to be the original goth chick of the movie era

It would be Siouxsie in terms of modern goth rock girls, but the legacy goes much further back than that. Elvira, Morticia, Vampira, Bettie Page, all are lovely, but the woman who first personified the goth aesthetic lived in the early Victorian era.

Mary Shelley, the woman who wrote Frankenstein was married to the notorious romantic libertine Pierce Shelley, and very likely one of Lord Byron's lovers. She was an anarchist and a feminist who stood against the Victorian morals of the time and experimented with mind altering substances (opium, absinthe, laudnum) long before folks like Andrew Eldrich made "living above the chemists" sickly fashionable.

If you are looking for the first goth girl, tragic, romantic, dark and spooky as hell, that's her.

The only one that comes to my mind is Siouxsie Sioux and she is my idol. Does that count?! If I had to think of someone else, Nina Hagen comes a close second.
