Not the mainstream media they are liberal and think any thing a liberal does is okay. Go to Fox News they tell it like it is whether it is a lib or a Republican.

Yes... if their viewers/readers care.
They'll give it about thirty seconds/one paragraph at first and if they get enough responses (or if they had enough interest from their customers to begin with), it'll get more coverage after that.
Media is a business. Granted all media is slanted some way, no media can just completely ignore a story that their competitors are profiting from. Unless they a have a completely independent source of funding separate from advertising.
So... NPR could completely ignore the story. No-one else can afford to IF it gets big enough.
