Straight forwardly, anything can be done, the question is do you have the time, money, and welding supplies necessary to perform this miraculous change? You are talking about two different engines, one with an in line motor, and one with a v-slant motor. You will have to convert all the connectors in the car, elecrtric, gas, air, from standard to metric, and rewire the entire car with the honda harness. You will need a cutting torch and a welding setup to make the necessary changes to the inside of the engine compartment. And you will need some sort of part you make at home yourself to connect the engine to the transmission, and drive train. Or you can just replace all this stuff with honda parts, but get ready for a few weeks of welding. Good luck.

As I recall, a Honda motor runs "backwards", meaning the crank turns the opposite way as most motors. That's why it's not a popular choice with kit car builders.
Even if I'm wrong on this one, you're still gonna need to graft the motor + tranny + front suspension + computer + fuel pumps + sensors. It can be done, but you're gonna drop a year's time and at least $10k to get a Saturn with a Honda motor.

Don't even waste your time. You're going to run into loads of problems. Are the engines even oriented in the same positions? What if your air filter ends up being on the opposite side? What about the transmissions? You're going to have to switch the entire transmissions too, and you're not even guaranteed that it'll fit or that it'll match up with the axle length/power, etc.
Save your time and money and buy the Honda instead.

Or just buy the first gen 4-cylinder VUE, it also has a honda engine.
Best bet is to just buy a honda if that is what you really want. If not just try to modify your saturn. Im not really sure if there's much aftermarket support for the SC2 though.

i could be skeptical in regards to the 60k or 100k+ figures on those engines. this is only yet another used engine and yet for the top gasket leak yours is as stable or better. i could get the superb value on the gasket activity with milling the surfaces and likewise a particular discern only to eliminate the top for inspection. If the top is cracked this is beneficial to bail. the different option could be to get a distinctive vehicle. If it have been a sparkling engine, ok, yet those engines are an unknown--maximum probable to the mechanic as properly. while they start coming down in value based on the well-known of the engine, you may better run on the grounds which you will get an entire engine at a picknpull or different junkyard for below some hundred money. that's precisely what they'll do, pocketing practically the finished $2500-3000. it particularly relies upon on only how stable the engine turn into in the previous the gasket. Did it burn oil? you maintain announcing how reliable it turn into--yet they're all reliable in the previous they wreck down!
