On your peak day of ovulation, the mucus has the consistency of egg whites. The mucus remains sticky for a day or two. The mucus will also be thinner and transparent. This mucus is your fertility marker. You will be ovulating either just before or just after it appears. This mucus will last for just about two days, then it will begin to get thicker and opaque. These are your post peak days. This is when PMS symptoms will begin to make an appearance. The mucus will remain on the thicker side until your period starts. Then, the whole phase begins again.
