The band? Or Marilyn himself? He tries way too hard, and his lyrics are like a string of childish, offensive statements. No wonder his fan base is predominantly preteens and immature adults.
Marilyn Manson is not intelligent. Intelligence is not a dictionary, or witty statements.
The band use to be great, pre Mechanical Animals, but now he's just overweight and boring. It's about time for him to retire, and stop being the media's puppet.

What I don't understand is why people judge him from the first time you look at him.
Read some of his quotes. He once said "Kids come up to me and say 'I want to be just like you!' and I say 'Then be yourself.'" He's intelligent.
He's awesome. He's talented. Sure, some of his stuff is "sick" and "twisted," but when you think about it, do you think you'd have the guts to do that and not care what people think of you? He's the wake-up call the rest of the world needed from this conformed world.
He probably anti-christ, but deep down inside you, you might not know that it's even there, but you know that there probably isn't a "Christ." And I'm a catholic and saying this.
He's our wake-up.

I think Marilyn Manson is one hella performer, and trendsetter.
the things he says are so intelligent and the things he stands for are amazing.
my boyfriend is a hardcore fanatics about him and knows like every single song, read every single book, and has like ever CD/DVD. its pretty amazing.
i think Manson is one of the most intelligent individuals out there.

he is okay he just acts like that cause twisted sales (he said that in his book) he is a good singer he has revived the older 80's songs like tainted love, like a virgin, sweet dreams, and personal jesus. he is unique and his girl freind is hot as hell she is the number one stripper in the united states
