In 1723 as a young boy he started the first paper of controversary word usage as he was well know for his limricks, "Pennsylvania Gazzette", and the "General Magazine". Even though these two publications failed, ( and his older brother really was angry), Franklin still published throughout the colonies whenever he could for the underground movement, and became a diplomat as you know. However he returned to Philadelphia and in 1783 he created the Penny Press, which was the start of a long line of papers including the Saturday Evening post, originally called the Pennsylvania Evening Post and then the Daily Advertiser, of which his writings survive him to this day in the libraries and in the stores online and everywhere, that freedom rings, like the Liberty Bell. Freedom of the Press. Dont forget the Farmers Almanac, you can find his limricks posted there and any grocery store with a magazine rack should have a current issue. One of his famous limricks is "A Penny Earned is a Penny Saved"

He was a leader. Being inspired he was considered an original thinker. With these qualities and the ability to make himself liked, he ran a newspaper that influenced views very much. Spiritually he as on the way up. Therefore he was a good influence on the city of Philadelphia--but there were no limits here--for he was quite a good influence on the world and he traveled a gooddeal.
