It's been a few years since I've looked up the definition to reader-response for a literature theory class. But I did study it at one point and time. And working from memory, I want to say it is the approach where each reader "reads" a different text. That is to say that each reader's life experiences, opinions, perspectives influence how they perceive any given text that they read. Therefore they may "interpret" it differently than someone else. Each opinion is valid. In some of the other theories, they like to approach literature like there is one set way to interpret something. That 'one' way is the right way. If you have another opinion...or express another opinion...you're wrong. Reader-response isn't like that. It is a reaction against it. It focuses on each reader's connection with the text.

No, in no way. A reader reaction is a private reaction. The reader is discussing their thoughts and recommendations with reference to the textile. that's extremely subjective for the reason that's opinion. A literary diagnosis on the different hand is purpose. the guy writing the literary diagnosis is observing the literary advantages of the artwork and dissecting them to seem for deeper which capacity. this form might deal greater contained in the area of imagery, metaphors, symbols, motifs, and so on.
