No. TNA does alot of things that WCW couldn't do because of the beuracracy that was AOL-TIme Warner. TNA shows blood, they curse, they create provocative storylines, and they are more violent. WCW couldn't do the sort of stuff because they had to deal with the company's "Standards and Practices" which made them cut that stuff out. TNA is more like WWF, notice I left the "F" on it, except without the big arenas. They have excellent video productions and their arena production for their show is a lot better than WCW could ever have been. Besides, Jerry Jarrett is in charge of TNA. He was Bischoff's right hand man during WCW's hay day. He left only when he noticed "the ship be sinkin'" and he knew Bischoff didn't have the power or the creativity to right it.

Here goes, for all of the people who says no, because TNA was owned by NWA as a reason, so was WCW. And, neither of them were owned by NWA, they were associated with them. BTW if you are going to say something like that you should really no your wrestling history and facts.
Here are the facts. Before WCW was an individual company it was associated with NWA via Jim Crocket Production as Georgia Championship Wrestling. Then Jim Crocket sold it to Ted Turner, who started changing all of the names of the titles.
Well to answer the question, yes it is. Simple as that. Same wrestlers, same announcers (BTW, Mike Tenay and Don West are two of the worst announcers in the business), and some of the same storylines.

Right nw yes I do, but it has nothing to do with the roster. The reason I think so, is that TNA is doing the same stuff backstage that WCW did, by pushing old timers like Jarrett and Sting, and wasting the younger talent like Petey Williams. Jarrett and TNA should recognize what they are doing or history might repeat itself.

i consider you i think of hulk hogan is popping the tna style right into a sparkling wcw with quite some the former wwe stars going there and additionally what i for my section dont like appropriate to the tna style on the 2d isn't showing their tna pay in line with perspectives on british sky television anymore in assessment to the wwe. i do think of if the two companys the wwe and tna became to be extra succesfull they would not have self assurance in the larger stars perpetually which the wwe now looks to get somewhat extra effective at i think

the WCW was owned by Ted Turner and ran by Eric Bishoff.
yes alot of the WCW stars are on TNA but TNA has a
6 sided ring unlike the traditional squared sircle in WCW.
if bishoff or hogan or goldberg make an apperance
on tna I will be convinced that tna is wcw..
same goes if the nwo is recreated.

yes and no
Yes because they have old wwe wrestlers that were fired or quit from wwe. They have Vince Russo. One of the most annoying non-wrestlers in the business.
No-TNA has never had a pinata on a pole match, but they did have a capture the flag match. TNA has ultimate x match, six sides of steel, etc No nitro girls dancing in the ring.

I would rather watch old tapes of WCW than the crap WWE is putting out. What the hell is "sports entertainment"? It's another name for crapy wrestling and stupid soap opera storylines. Say what you want about WCW, Stone Cold saved WWE. WCW was kicking the crap out of the WWE for a long time.
