I not sure if I should get Red Steel. Gamespot gave it a 5.5/10 (http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/redsteel/review.html?page=1)
What do you guys think?

I've played Red Steel, and it's clear GameSpot is just a bunch of mental-midget Wii-bashers. Only played an hour so far, but I'm having a blast. The swordfighting is kind of amazing. It's hard to describe it in words -- all I can say is, if you don't buy it right away, find a friend who has it and try it for yourself. There's really no way words can describe what it's like to play it for yourself.

That's pretty difficult to answer at this point, since none of us have the console or the game.

I guess, hypotheticly, it seems like a heck of a lot of fun. I mean, I know ever since I got my first console, I always dreamed of having a really authentic sword fighting experince. But weather the reality of that comes anywhere near the fantasy is.

*edit* I am also reading IGN's message boards and it seems the general consensus is that GameSpot is unreliable or biased in it's reviews. They gave Twilight Princess an 8.8 and we all know, of course, it's going to be off the hook.

I found a hands-on IGN preview which seemed optimistic.

Opinions can always be different person to person. If you've been really excited by this you're probably expecting the perfect game and most likely it'll fail to impress.

I'd suggest trying it out before you buy. Failing that there's bound to be someone who'll buy it off you for close to retail price, it'll probably sell out at launch.
