There will be 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 (ie 7!) at the party
= 5040 people

I hope you have a large venue and lots of food (8^O)

Whoops:- I am incorrect and Scott R is right!! ... and you will need more food and an even bigger venue .... :-)))

Cos there is you →1
There are the 7 you invite → 7
There are the 6 they each invite → 7 * 6
There are the 5 they each invite → 7 * 6 * 5
etc

And onn adding them all up you get Scott's solution

Start with the 7 people you invited. They each invite 6 people, so there are (6*7) = 42 guests at the next level. They each invite 5 people, so that makes an additional (42*5) = 210 people. Each of them invites 4 more, adding another (210*4) = 840. They each invite 3, adding (840*3) = 2520 people. Each of them invites 2 more, for an extra (2520*2) = 5040. And each of them invites 1 more, for another 5040.

So you have 1 host, plus 7 guests, plus the 42 they invited, plus the 210 they invited, plus the 840 they invited, plus the 2520 they invited, plus the 5040 they invited, plus the 5040 they invited.

1+7+42+210+840+2520+5040+5040 = 13700. I think your "friends" need a lesson in etiquette before they invite an entire town to your party!

1 + 7 + 7*6 + 7*6*5 + 7*6*5*4 + 7*6*5*4*3 + 7*6*5*4*3*2 + 7*6*5*4*3*2*1
= 1 + 7 + 42 + 210 + 840 + 2520 + 5040 + 5040
= 13700

You invite 7 people

7 invite 6 each = 42

42 invite 5 each = 210

so total you have invite 210 + 42 + 7 + 1 = 260

If the patter cont...

210 invite 4 each = 840

840 invite 3 each = 2520

2520 invite 2 each = 5040

5040 invite 1 each = 5040

in case you hate it that plenty, i want to recommend shifting out of the dorms to the place you do now not ought to submit with it anymore. I additionally had a father who became an alcoholic and hate being around people who drink. in case you have now not have been given the money to get a place of your individual, see in case you would be able to get a job for some hours an afternoon merely to pay the hire or pool your money alongside with others who additionally experience as you do and hire a house.. The PEACE you have on your individual off campus would be nicely worth each little bit of the hassle, somewhat than putting up with all the idiots who've the ill ought to drink and get stoned.

The answer is 270 people. You, the original seven invitees, 7 x 6 = 42 invited by them, and 42 x 5 = 220 more for a total of 270.
1 + 7 + 42 + 220 = 270.

I messed it up at first but now I know I have it right.

Well, it'll be 211 if you just do it for the first time. But if it continues, your screwed, and friendless from yelling at them asking why they invited more people.

You will have 7! (7 factorial) guests, which is calculated as follows:

7 * 6 * 5 * 4 * 3 * 2 * 1 = 5,040 guests

So, total people at the party including yourself = 5,040 + 1 = 5,041.
