One of the greatest gifts I've ever received was a book of poems that I used to read as a child. The book went missing 30 years ago when my family moved and I'd mentioned this several times to my wife, often quoting parts of poems that I could remember from my childhood. Imagine my surprise when I opened up a present and I held that book in my hands after so many decades had passed! So maybe he has had a favorite book or LP or toy that you could locate on e-bay or something like that and let him relive a moment from his childhood. You couldn't give a better gift....

I think every guy had different tastes. There is a saying, which is true, that goes something like, "The difference between the man and the boy are the size of his toys." What are his favourite toys now? Figure that out and buy him a better quality one(s). Why better quality one(s)? Us guys also like to play one up man ship. To keep her pants on when I was working..Been divorced twice, can't answer. But if the right woman/wife, I would say, for her to come and sit on my lap, look me in the eyes and say..I never knew a better Christmas gift, until you gave your heart to me..something like that..
