Today, I spotted and that is it. I have no other abnormal signs and I can still feel the baby move as much as I have been lately (I could feel it moving for the past two weeks). Do you think that it could be because I got a pap smear yesterday and my doctor accidentally broke a blood vessel inside, or do you think it could be something more? I don't feel differently at all.

I had to get a pap smear because I haven't had one in the last year and just found out that I was pregnant not too long ago.

First of all I wish ppl would get their facts straight before answering!!! Second of all... I have had 4 pap smears while pregnant during the first trimester. My doctor always warned me that I could spot after wards. I don't think you have anything to worry about. You don't have to be dilated to have a pap smear. How would women who were not pregnant have one???? If you are really worried call your doctor. But I am currently pregnant with my 4th and have had pap smears every time (with spotting afterwords) and have 3 healthy baby's and another on the way! Good luck and don't worry. The baby moving should tell you he/she is fine in there.

call your doctor, but i suspect its from the pap smear. you dotn want to risk the babys health or yours!
