for a friend for christmas, and i need to know what i need for it...i have cloth, and old bulletin board, lots of ribbong, and a stable gun and scissors...what should i use to secure the ribbons on the actual memo board ( i think it is called tufting maybe???) but what do i use to do this??? thanks for the help!!

I've seen decorative nail heads like those used in upholstery. I would think you could also use buttons.

You secure the ribbons with the staple gun. If you are asking how to cover the staples where the ribbons intersect, Hot glue on buttons, bows or charms. Use whatever you want.If you are talking about the staples that go all the way around the board, I think what you mean instead of tufting, is cording. It is available in any fabric shop.
