While in theory it would be a good idea to boycott those who send their jobs overseas, unfortunately it would destabilize the U.S. economy, and have an effect on the world economy, as well.
Also, if we did that, Wal-Mart would have to go out of business because they'd have nothing to sell, since almost all of their products are made in other countries.
Oh, wait... I just gave a bad, and a good...
[ADDED] There was a story in the news last year of a guy who went to India to reclaim his job, which had been outsourced.

You also would have to boycott their employments. Which means almost all working Americans will be out of jobs. If you are really principled, you cannot say I want your job and salary, but not your products. It is all or none.
Where would that leave you ?
If Wal-Mart is selling an imported TV for, say, $300 and some other store is selling an exactly similar US-made TV for, say, $600 (which is not unrealistic), are you saying you are ready to shell out an extra $300 for the US-made TV ? Honestly, I would not do it. I would save $300 and leave the problem of illegal immigrants/imports/out-sourcing to the government to deal with.

First of all, businesses leave the US because it is too expensive to be here. Thank the pro-union Democrats who pass laws that make the costs of doing business skyrockets.
There is no exploitation. The wages there are low because the standard of living is so low. They do not have to take the job. Besides, they appreciate a higher paying job than what they would have elsewhere.

Absolutely. We need to tell them that they will have to accept the fact that they cannot keep buying the 10 porsches and several extra sets of priceless jewelry for their wives every year, and instead that they must help the middle class survive!
And we need to throw the people in jail who support illegals with jobs and housing! I am talking about whether they are local churches or not, it doesn't matter!

As the t-shirt says "My job went to India and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"..... If the goods are cheaper from elsewhere, people will buy them

Don't we deserve to get our goods at the lowest price possible? Also, haven't we as a society moved past assembling garments? Americans are better than that. By limiting competition, you hold us back. To anyone who is afraid of competion, I say: Be better!

You organize that one. It might get a lot of support. People are still in the dark and feel powerless. Make a beginning.
