I want a guitar for Christmas. I want to learn how to play. But I don't know how to choose the perfect one for me. Help please?

I know I have to start on acoustic. Sorry for not mentioning that.

I already play drums, too. So I know about GC and Sam Ash. I'm gonna stick with it. But I really meant online. How can I choose one while online? It's so much more different than a drumset.

The best guitar to learn on is an acoustic. I would recommend a Fender acoustic. On the other hand if you want to learn on an electric the best guitar is a form of Fender Stratocaster, maybe a squire to start as they are cheaper and if you don't take guitar up you haven't lost that much money. Also you and pick up some cheap G&L guitars which are made by leo fender of fender and these are great guitars to learn on. If i where you go to a store, get a feel for a few guitars that i have mentioned and see what suits you best. Acoustic is better to learn on as you can really give it a good play and strum the strings where as an electric you have the added amp so you don't have tp strum so hard. Hope that helps you.

It depends on what kind of music you want to play, your size, how much money you want to spend etc.. Best thing to do is go to a couple of music stores and try a few out until you find the one you like and fits you best. Practice a lot, don't give up and you can learn to play very well. Alvarez is a very good brand for acoustic guitars.

Have you ever played before? If you have, and you know that you will stick with guitar, then you should invest in a good guitar, such as a Fender Stratocaster. Go to a local music store and try out all different kinds of guitars to see which ones you prefer.

I would go with an acoustic guitar to start out on.
