Yeah, even though I am down in the dumps about a little Thanksgiving situation, I love the holiday season!

On thanksgiving night, my five little kids always help decorate the tree, and the next day the lights go up and I give my kids a huge pile of magazines, a piece of paper with their names on the top, scissors and glue and they cut and glue what ever they want to get from "Santa" this year. Yes, we just watched ELF on USA together, and now my twin girls are working on their dance to "Santa clause is coming to town, they have a recital on December 20.

I have already started buying Christmas presents. I think it is so cool because while we listen to Christmas songs I swear my unborn baby boy is dancing! I just can't wait until our house is lighted up with reindeer and the tree is shining through the window!

Yep, it is definitely the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!

I'm just getting there. I saw Scrooge the other day. Life is Beautiful. I'm understanding so much more than I used to. I find the best way to hold on to the Christmas Spirit or any other spirit for that matter is to let it go. Then you're free. For when you're worrying and realizing that it won't be forever you end up wasting your time and focus worrying about it going and not enjoying it while it's there to the fullest. So let it go and just enjoy it when it's there. Expect it to be Amazing, and it will. You'll be surprised on how your brain can do that. It's all Unbelievable. It's the most precious thing to experience.

Yes this year I am getting everything decorated since we want be going to mother-in-laws for thanksgiving. I have already got most of the yard work done. I am trying to get everything ready before a friend leaves going to Iraq. We are celebrating early this year since he will leave around Christmas and I know his wife and kids are going to miss him terrible. 1 child's is 2 the other child is not even 1 so I am hoping this cheers them up a little. Happy holidays

Ack!!! when I was younger xmas didn't start until after Thanksgiving - yet I saw adds for xmas before Halloween...

I'm waiting for the xmas spirit to begin slightly after new years the way things are going...

On the other hand I'm known for humming xmas carols in June, and have been humming the on and off for a month... so I dunno...

I'm just starting to get there. It's been warmer than usual (as in spring/summer temperatures when it should be cooler fall temperatures) in our area. Now that it's getting cooler, I find I'm more in the mood for getting ready for Christmas. Plus my hubby has been playing Christmas music (we love The 12 Pains of Xmas) and that helps.

I am but I keep reminding myself that it is not even Thanksgiving! Ugh! One holiday at a time right? Although at work I listen to the radio on the web and they have Christmas radio stations year round and I'll admit I've been listening to holiday music on and off since October!

A little ...
I find myself getting mad at all the people that want to ruin this time of year. They feel determined to ruin all the childrens Christmas time for no reason other than being a grumpy adult.
I love the music and shows, the smells and how people do tend to be better for about 20+ days - instead of their "normal" selves.
I hope this is a very happy season for you, and yours.

For me, I don't get into the Christmas spirit until atleast after thanksgiving. I used to work in a department store and it was horrible cuz we used to get christmas stuff out in October and xmas music would start playing there about the same time. i think it's too early to get into the spirit until after thanksgiving. let us get thru that first before getting xmas shoved down our throats.LOL! Yes, it does help when there's snow on the ground too.(live in Wisconsin)
