I dont know why, just why??

we actually yawn when we need more air...
but it happens more when we are tired because our bodies slow down and we breath slower

The reason we yawn is because our bodies need more oxygen. Taking a deep breathe by yawning helps the air enter out bodies.

it's an evolutionary trait that primates use to signify to one another that they are in a state where they have no imminent threats. we inherited it from our ancestors. think about it: you never yawn when you are frightened or scared or about to get into a fight. when situating guards throughout treelines, primates will have a ring of members that stay on the lookout. being that making noise can draw attention to one another, if the other guards can see the member in question yawning, they know that they are not under any threat or alarmed in any way. do your research, it's biological evolution. almost all primates do it, and we don't just yawn when we are tired, and if we are tired but in danger, we don't yawn either.

in order to stay awake and alert of your surroundings

it is a way for the brain to get the lungs to deliver more oxygen when it is getting low.
